Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Impact Cutlery website. By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping & Age-Restricted Delivery Policy, Age Verification & Responsible Sales Policy and Returns & Refunds Policy.

Please read these terms carefully before placing an order.

1. About Impact Cutlery

Impact Cutlery is a specialist retailer of handcrafted cutlery, hunting and outdoor knives, collectors' pieces, historical reproductions and related products.

Our products may include age-restricted items. Customers are responsible for ensuring that they meet all applicable legal requirements before purchasing.

2. Age-Restricted Products

You must be 18 years of age or over to purchase knives, bladed articles or other products that are legally restricted to adult purchasers.

By placing an order for an age-restricted product, you confirm that you meet the applicable minimum age requirement and that all information supplied by you is accurate.

A declaration that you are over 18 may not, by itself, be sufficient.

Orders may be subject to additional age and/or identity verification before acceptance, processing or dispatch.

We reserve the right to request appropriate evidence of age or identity and to place an order on hold while verification is completed.

If satisfactory verification cannot be completed, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.

3. Responsible Sales

Impact Cutlery is committed to the responsible sale of knives and bladed products.

We reserve the right to refuse, place on hold or cancel an order where we reasonably believe that:

  • the purchaser does not meet the applicable age requirement;

  • satisfactory age or identity verification cannot be completed;

  • inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information has been supplied;

  • the transaction may breach applicable law;

  • the product cannot lawfully be supplied to the requested destination;

  • the payment appears unauthorised or potentially fraudulent; or

  • completing the transaction would conflict with our responsible-sales obligations.

Where an order is cancelled by us and payment has already been received, an appropriate refund will be issued subject to applicable law.

4. Legal Responsibility

The laws governing the purchase, possession, carrying, importation and use of knives and bladed articles can differ according to the product and jurisdiction.

Purchasing a knife or other bladed product does not necessarily mean that it may legally be carried in a public place.

Customers are responsible for using and possessing products lawfully.

Nothing on our website should be interpreted as permission or legal advice concerning the carrying or use of a particular knife or bladed article.

5. Products

We make reasonable efforts to describe and display our products accurately.

Many Impact Cutlery products are handcrafted and may incorporate natural materials such as wood, horn, bone and other materials with naturally occurring variations.

As a result, individual products may display reasonable variations in colour, grain, texture, pattern and other characteristics.

Handcrafted products may also exhibit minor variations in dimensions, finish or detailing.

Such natural or handmade variations are part of the character of the product and do not necessarily constitute a defect.

Product colours may also appear slightly different depending upon photography, lighting, screen settings and the device used to view our website.

6. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

We reserve the right to withdraw products, correct errors or update product information where reasonably necessary.

If we are unable to fulfil an order after payment has been received, we will contact you and, where appropriate, provide a refund.

7. Made-to-Order & Custom Products

Certain Impact Cutlery products may be handmade, personalised, customised or manufactured specifically for a customer.

Estimated production times for made-to-order products are estimates and may vary depending upon the complexity of the product, materials and production requirements.

Customers are responsible for checking all customisation details, measurements, spelling, artwork and other specifications supplied to us.

Where a product has been made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, statutory cancellation rights may differ from those applying to standard stock products.

This does not affect any rights a customer may have where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable statutory requirements.

8. Prices & Payment

Prices displayed on our website are shown in the applicable currency indicated at checkout.

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout.

Payment must be authorised before an order is processed.

We reserve the right to conduct reasonable security, fraud-prevention, age-verification or identity checks before accepting or dispatching an order.

An automated order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that an order has been finally accepted.

9. Order Acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

We reserve the right to decline an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including legal restrictions, age-verification failure, payment problems, suspected fraud, product availability or delivery restrictions.

10. Shipping & Delivery

Orders are delivered in accordance with our Shipping & Age-Restricted Delivery Policy.

Age-restricted products may be subject to additional delivery controls.

Where appropriate or legally required, the delivery provider may require satisfactory proof of age before releasing a parcel.

Customers are responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address.

11. International Orders

Customers ordering outside the United Kingdom are responsible for checking the laws and import restrictions applicable in the destination country before placing an order.

A product that may lawfully be sold in the United Kingdom may be restricted or prohibited in another jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders to destinations where we believe the products cannot lawfully or appropriately be supplied.

International shipments may be subject to customs inspections, duties, taxes and other charges imposed by local authorities.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, such charges are the responsibility of the recipient.

12. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds

Returns, cancellations and refunds are handled in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable UK consumer law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to restrict or exclude a customer's statutory rights.

Different cancellation provisions may apply to products made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised.

13. Faulty or Incorrect Products

If you believe that a product is faulty, damaged or materially different from its description, please contact us promptly with your order information and details of the issue.

We will assess the matter and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

14. Ownership of Website Content

Unless otherwise stated, photographs, product descriptions, designs, graphics, logos, branding and other original website content belonging to Impact Cutlery may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

Third-party trademarks, historical references and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.

15. Acceptable Use of Products

Products purchased from Impact Cutlery must be possessed, transported and used responsibly and lawfully.

Impact Cutlery does not encourage unlawful, threatening or irresponsible use of knives or bladed articles.

Customers are responsible for complying with laws applicable to their possession and use of the products purchased.

16. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

To the extent permitted by law, Impact Cutlery will not be responsible for losses resulting from unlawful or improper use of a product, failure by a customer to comply with applicable laws, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

17. Privacy & Personal Information

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.

Information required for age, identity, payment or fraud verification may be processed by appropriate third-party service providers where necessary for those purposes and in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, legal requirements or policies.

The version published on our website at the time an order is placed will normally apply to that transaction.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of the United Kingdom, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to the customer.

Nothing in these terms affects any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
