Age Verification & Responsible Sales Policy

Impact Cutlery is committed to the responsible and lawful sale of knives, bladed articles and other age-restricted products. We take our responsibilities as a specialist cutlery retailer seriously and operate procedures intended to prevent the sale of age-restricted products to persons who are not legally permitted to purchase them.

Minimum Age Requirement

You must be 18 years of age or over to purchase age-restricted knives, bladed articles or other age-restricted products from Impact Cutlery.

By placing an order for an age-restricted product, you confirm that you meet the applicable legal age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Simply declaring that you are over 18 may not be sufficient. Where required, we may request or use additional information to verify your age and identity.

Age & Identity Verification

Orders containing age-restricted products may be subject to age and/or identity verification before an order is accepted, processed or dispatched.

Depending upon the product, destination and applicable legal requirements, verification may include the use of an approved age or identity verification service and/or a request for appropriate identification or other evidence necessary to establish the purchaser's age and identity.

If we are unable to satisfactorily verify the purchaser's age or identity, we reserve the right to place the order on hold, request additional verification or cancel and refund the order.

Age-Restricted Delivery

Where required by law or considered appropriate for an age-restricted product, delivery may be made using an age-verification or age-restricted delivery service.

The courier or delivery provider may request appropriate identification before releasing the parcel.

Age-restricted products must not be accepted on behalf of the purchaser by a person who is under the legally required age.

We reserve the right to apply additional delivery restrictions where necessary to meet legal, courier or responsible-sales requirements.

Responsible Sales

Impact Cutlery sells specialist cutlery, outdoor and hunting knives, collectors' pieces, historical reproductions and related products.

We will not knowingly supply an age-restricted product to a person who does not meet the applicable legal age requirement.

We also reserve the right to refuse or cancel any transaction where we reasonably believe that:

  • the purchaser does not meet the applicable age requirement;

  • satisfactory age or identity verification cannot be completed;

  • false or misleading information has been provided;

  • the purchase may breach applicable law;

  • the product cannot lawfully be supplied to the requested destination; or

  • completing the transaction would conflict with our responsible-sales obligations.

UK Legal Restrictions

Customers are responsible for ensuring that they may lawfully purchase, possess and use the products they order.

Certain knives and bladed articles may be subject to additional restrictions or prohibitions under UK law. Impact Cutlery does not knowingly offer products for sale in circumstances where their sale would be unlawful.

The legality of carrying a knife in a public place is separate from the legality of purchasing or owning it. Purchasing a product from Impact Cutlery does not give the purchaser authority to carry or use that product contrary to applicable law.

Customers should familiarise themselves with the laws applicable to the purchase, possession, carrying and use of the particular product.

International Orders

Knife and bladed-product laws vary considerably between countries and jurisdictions.

For international orders, customers are responsible for checking the applicable laws and import restrictions in their destination country before ordering.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel an international order where we believe that the product cannot lawfully or appropriately be supplied to the destination.

Customs authorities and carriers may also impose additional restrictions or requirements outside our control.

Accurate Customer Information

Customers purchasing age-restricted products must provide accurate information when placing an order.

Providing false information regarding age, identity, delivery details or eligibility to purchase an age-restricted product may result in the order being cancelled.
